MINUTES OF CITY CC?UNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY Z6, 196Z

A regular meeting of the F'riendswciod City Council was held February 26, 1962.
�'resent were: Mayor Paul O'Farrell, Councilmen: Pete Workman,Harry Hatcher,
Kenneth Camp : , Leon Brown.and Linn Eignus.
The .minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A financial report showed a current balance of $1, 001. 88.
Mayor O'Farrell opened the meeting with a discussion of the office of Cheif of
Police. Leon Brown stated that he would like to see Arden Hi11 continue in this
job for the time being. Pete Workman was in agreement with this thinking,
providing Arden would be available for call in an emergency situation, and also
that he carry on othe�;:;law enforcement duties as best he can, while working in
his station. Pete Workmnan moved th�t Arden Hill be asked to remain as Cheif
of Police until after the coming City eleetion. Motion seconded by Leon Brown.
Motion carried.
After a discussion of the sireet light program. ., presented at the last meeting,
Leon Brown moved that the council authorize the installation of nine mercury
, vapor lights by the Community Public Service Co. , and that for a period of ninety
� days they be paid for on the basis of a flat rate of $3. 75 per Iight per month.
�. Motion seconded by Harry Hatcher. Motion carried.
Linn repor�,ed that the dog tags had been received and the vaccination date had been
set for 9:AM , March 10, 196Z at the Fire Station.
With no further business the meeting adjourned.
