T�eon Bro�n repor'-�d on �the la�st developem�n� on the local street sitnation and
the procsedings on g�tting the st�te to take ovea� Chaate Road. A le�ter is being
writt�n to Harris Ca. Cammissioner, Kyl� Chapman regarding thi� mat#,er. He poin�-
ed out that the fedea^al gov'�. was consi3erin� giwing some assista.nce for br3.dge
c�nstructi�n is this area.
The City Secretary repor+�ed that warrant & complaint forms had besn reaeived.
F� also read a copy of the Zett,�r he had wri.t�ten to County Judge as well as the
�:etter he had received in return.
T�i.scussion was he�d on credentials for police officers. This needs to be check-
ed out further. The matter of writing letters to offenders w3th tickets long
ovex�due, was discussed. It was decided tx+..at this would not be necessary. I�on
�r�tian moveci that the judge and chief-of-Falice proceed in i.ssuing and serving
of warrants for aIl pa.st due tickets. Motian seconded by Na.r�y Ha.tcher� motxon
carried.
There was a discussion re�a.rdi.ng having the judge charge an extr•a charge for
court costs. It wa� deCided to cheek into -this further �efore making a defini�
decision on this matter.
� � Thz subject of a�nexi.r.g new territory was again under disc�ss�.c�n. N�ayor 0*Faxrell
sta-ted that some interest had been sha�m by the residents of Friendswood Forrest.
1�.scuss�on was held on preparing of electi.on ordinance. Mayor 0•Farrell read a
copy of one he had with him. He is to check with City Attorn�y, Jack Ha.rrison ta
see �hat th� one he ha.s is corr�ct.
