Stop Signs on Pride and a Speed Limit Sign on Falling Leaf
Staff has received a request to install Stop Signs at the intersections of Pride and Falling Leaf and
Pride and Mustang Drive. Since Pride is a new private street that intersects two public roads, it is in
the interest of safety to install these two Stop Signs.
The Police Department is also requesting an additional 20 mph speed limit sign on Falling Leaf
from Pride to Greenbriar. It is to be located on the property line between 1101 and 1013 on the
west side of Falling Leaf.
It is therefore, recommended that two Stop Signs and a 20 mph Speed Limit Sign be installed per
the attached diagram and description.
Ordinance 300 should be amended to reflect the establishment of the new signage. If you have any
questions, please let me know or contact Morad Kabiri in the Engineering Division at 281-996-
3203.

Ordinance 300-Stop signs at both ends of Pride and one speed limit sign on Falling Leaf
between Pride and Greenbriar.
The Engineering Division received a request from the Police Department about additional
signage around the FISD High School. Since Pride is a new private street that intersects both
Falling Leaf and Mustang (both public roads) it is in the interest of safety to install 2 stop signs
on Pride at both of the above locations.
The Police Department has also asked for an additional speed limit sign on Falling Leaf from
Pride to Greenbriar. An inspection by the Engineering Division showed one speed limit sign (20
mph) on Falling Leaf to be in good repair. It is the Engineering Division's opinion that an
additional speed limit sign (20 mph) be placed on the property line between 1101 and 1013 on
the West side of Falling Leaf.
It is the recommendation from the Engineering Division that these three signs be reflected in our
Ordinance 300.
