RESOLUTION NO .
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSIVOOD, TEXAS , TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX
CERTAIN TERRITORIES; DESCRIBING SUCH TERRITORIES;
SETTING THE DATES , TIMES , AND PLACES FOR TWO PUBLIC
HEARINGS AT WHICH ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL HAVE
AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF NOTICES OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD ,
TEXAS :
Section 1 . The City Council of the City of Friendswood
hereby declares its intention to institute proceedings to annex
the following described territory to the City by the passage of
an Ordinance of Annexation extending the general corporate limits
of the City of Friendswood for all purposes to include such
territory:
FIELD NOTES ON APPROXIMATELY 750 ACRES OF LAND,
Situated in the Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract
12, John Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15, and Sarah
McKissick Survey, Abstract 151, all situated in
Harris County, Texas, and Being More Particularly
Described by Metes & Bounds as Follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is a common point for Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract
12, John Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15, and Sarah McKissick Survey, Abtract 151;
THENCE in a southeasterly direction along a line that intersects the common line
' between the Fred J. Heyne tract and the Webster Ranch Corp. tract at the
northeast right-of-way line of Park Road, Said point also being the most west-
erly point of the Webster Ranch Corp. tract and the most northerly point of the
Fred J. Heyne tract;
THENCE in a southeasterly direction along the northeast right-of-way line of Park
Road to a point which intersects the extension of a line between Fred J. Heyne
tract and J. 0. Webb tract;
THENCE .in a southeasterly direction along the common line between Fred J. Heyne
tract and J. 0. Webb tract to the centerline of Clear Creek;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of Clear Creek to a
point that intersects a line 500 feet south of the north right-of-way line of
F.M. 528, said line parallels F.M. 528;
THENCE in a northeasterly direction along said parallel line which is 500 feet
from the north right-of-way line of F.M. 528 to a point where said parallel line
intersects the most easterly line of the Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12, said
line also being the most northwesterly line of the August Whitlock Survey, Ab-
stract 794;
THENCE in a southerly direction along the common boundary line of the Thomas
Choate Survey, Abstract 12 and the August Whitlock Survey, Abstract 794 to a
point that intersects the most northerly line of the John Dickinson Survey, Ab-
stract 15;
THENCE in a westerly direction along the most northerly line of the John
Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing
approximately 750 Acres of Land.

Section 2 . The City Council of the City of Friendswood
hereby calls two public hearings at which all interested per-
sons shall have the right and opportunity to appear and be
heard upon such proposal to annex the territory described above .
The first public hearing shall be held at the Council Chambers ,
City Hall , 109 Willowick, Friendswood , Texas , at 7 : 30 o ' clock p .m. ,
on October 17 , 1983 . The second public hearing shall be held
at the Council Chambers , City Hall , 109 Willowick, Friendswood ,
Texas , at 7 : 30 o ' clock p .m. , on October 24 , 1983 . The annexa-
tion proceeding , of which notice of intention to annex is given
by this resolution , shall be instituted not less than twenty (20)
days nor more than forty (40) days subsequent to such public
hearings .
Section 3 . The City Secretary of the City of Friendswood
is hereby directed to cause notices of such public hearings to
be given by publication of this resolution in a newspaper having
general circulation in the City of Friendswood and in the terri-
tory proposed to be annexed , the publication of notice of each
public hearing to be made at least once in such newspaper not
more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to
the day of that public hearing.
