ORDER DECLARING RESULTS OF CITY ELECTION
THE STATE OF TEXAS
CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD
On this the 8th day of April , 1974, the City Council of the City of
Friendswood, Texas, convened in Special Session open to the public at the
regular meeting place thereof with the following members present, to wit:
Mayor Ralph L. Lowe
Councilman Benny Baker
Councilman Ralph Gonzalez
Councilman Richard Haken
Councilman William Patton
Councilman Milton Windler
Councilman Edward Zeitler
City Secretary Bobbie Henry
and with the following absent: None
constituting a quorum, and among other proceedings had were the following:
Councilman Baker introduced a resolution and
order and moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Patton
and the motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution and order
prevailed by the following vote:
AYES: 7
NOES: none
The resolution is as follows:
RESOLUTION
There came on to be considered the returns of an election held on the
6th day of April , 1974 for the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials
and it appearing from said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast
at said election 1936 valid and legal votes; that each of the candidates
in said election received the following votes:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE
OF TEXAS:
That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was
given in accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance
with law, and that the following persons are hereby declared duly elected to
the respective offices, subject to the taking of their oaths as provided by
the laws of the State of Texas:
Mayor Ralph L. Lowe
Council Pos. #1 Milton L. Windier
Council Pos. #3 Edward Zeitler
Council Pos. #5 Richard Haken
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the
order of this governing body, the Secretary posted written notice of the
date, place and subject of this meeting and said notice having been so posted
and remaining posted for at least three days preceding the date of this
meeting.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this the 8th day of April , 1974.

the 6th day of April , 1974 for the purpose of voting for or against the
adoption of thirteen amendments to the City Charter, and it appearing from
said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at said election
1193& valid and legal votes; that each proposed amendment in said election
received the following votes:

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
STATE OF TEXAS:
That said election was duly called; that notice of said election
was given in accordance with law, and that said election was held in
accordance with law, and that the thirteen amendments to the City Charter
singly received a majority of the votes cast favoring adoption, and that
the thirteen amendments are hereby adopted by the City Council , and the
City Charter stands thereby amended as of the date of this resolution.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the
order of this gover-ina body, the Secretary posted written notice of the
date, place and subject of this meeting and said notice having been so
posted and remaining posted for at keast three days preceeding the date
of this meeting.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this the 8th day of April , 1974.
