Wagner , Mayor of the City of Friendswood, Texas, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order an election be held in the City of Friendswood on the 26th day of May, 1966, A.D. , being the first Tuesday, thereof, off'' rr—the purpose UT—electing the following officers of said City: City Councilman to fill unexpired term of Councilman Lowe, and, that said election shall be held at the City Hall in said City, and the following named person is hereby appointed Election Judge thereof, to wit: James B. Shore JUDGE ELECTION NOTICE The (police dept. )(city secretary) is hereby directed and instructed to post a properly executed copy of this Order and Notice of Election at the City Hall, the place where the election will be held, said election notice shall be posted thirty days before the date of said election. Mayors and city secretaries should refuse to accept an application for a place on the ballot unless the candidate also files his loyalty affidavit in the form provided in Art. 6.02c Election Code. Failure or refusal on the part of the city official with whom the application is filed to require the loyalty affidavit is a misdemeanor.
