D. 1964, the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas, convened in regular session at the regular meeting place with the following members present: ;7' Ls ,/ i • fa WPM PAM/VA• with the following members absent: /96-70 “for/Pro.tJ ,P,4LE age uo AI and constituting a quorum and among other proceedings the following was had: Councilman 4 X' $ 4 . introduced a Resolution and order and moved its adoption: The Motion was seconded by Councilman Sew- a/2q 7,6 d a, and the Motion carried with it the adoption and the Resolution prevailing in the following: Ayes: Councilmen 3 Noes: None. and came to be considered the return of election held on April 7, 1964, for the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials and it appearing from said return, duly and legally made that there was cast at said election -1- > n • votes, which were legal and valid votes and each of said candidates in said election received the following votes: For Mayor: Pete Workman /Sf votes; Harry D. Wagner ? '3 votes. For Councilman: Dean F. Saurenman 47 votes; William B. Patton y/ votes; Arden C. Hill, Jr. /SY votes; Alan McGinnis /V votes; M. F. Foster /(e votes; W. B. "Bill"White 29 votes; Gene Greathouse 93 votes; Layton E. Johnson 4(1 votes; Joseph E. West, Jr. 38 votes; Charles W. Beggs //7 votes; THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas, that said election was duly called; that Notice of said election was given in accordance with the law and that said election was held in accordance with the law and that HARRY D. WAGNER was duly elected Mayor of said City at said election and ARDEN C. HILL, JR. and ALAN McGINNIS were duly elected Councilmen at said election and said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to their taking the Oath and filing Bond as required by the State of Texas.
