THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF GALVESTON )
CITY OF FRIENDS WOOD )
ON THIS the 15th day of April, A. D. 1963, the City Council of
the City of Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas, convened in Special
Session at the regular meeting place with the following members
present: Harry Hatcher
Pete Workman
Gene Greathouse
with the following members absent: Leon Brown
C. C. Bost
and constituting a quorum and among other matters, the following proceeding
was had:
Councilman Gene Greathouse introduced a resolution and Order
and moved its adoption. The Motion was seconded by Councilman
Pete Workman and the Motion carried with it the adoption and the
resolution prevailing the following:
Ayes 3
Noes
and came to be considered the return of election held on April 3, 1963, for
the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials and it appearing from
said return, duly and legally made that there was cast at said election
243 votes, which were legal and valid votes, and each of said candidates
in said election received the following votes:
For Councilman:
Harry Hatcher 144 votes;
Dale Brown 113 votes;
H. K. Speck 110 votes;
Elmo Brundrett 100 votes;
C. C. Bost 99 votes;
Alfred O'Farrell 72 votes;
Joseph West, Jr. 51 votes;

Therefore, be it RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas, that said election was duly called;
that Notice of said Election was given in accordance with the law and that
said election was held in accordance with the law and that HARRY HATCHER,
DALE BROWN, AND H. K. SPECK, we re duly elected Councilmen at said
election and said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to
said respective offices, subject to taking the Oath and filing bond as required
by the State of Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 15th day of April, A. D. 1963.
