DONALD STRAN CHAIRPERSON DR. DONNA COLEMAN VICE CHAIRPERSON CPT. DOUG LAUERSDORF COMMITTEE MEMBER ROBERT LEE COMMITTEE MEMBER MARGARET PICKELL COMMITTEE MEMBER 1. CALL TO ORDER Dr. Stran called the meeting to order a quorum present at 6:05 P.M.; all members were present. 2. PUBLIC COMMENT No one signed up to speak. 3. MINUTES A. Consider approving the minutes of the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting held on September 01, 2022. A motion was made by Committee Member Lee and seconded by Margaret Pickell to approve the minutes of the Animal Control Advisory Committee meeting held on September 01, 2022. The vote was the following: Ayes: Committee Member Dr. Donna Coleman, Committee Member Dr. Donald C. Stran, Committee Member Captain Doug Lauersdorf, Committee Member Robert Lee and Committee Member Margaret Pickell. Nays: None. The item passed unanimously. 4. REPORTS A. Receive and discuss updates, approval regarding the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Annual Report to City Council. B. Receive and discuss an update regarding Animal Shelter operations. Animal Control Advisory Board Meeting Minutes March 30th, 2023 Page 2 of 2 Committee Member Lee presented a report regarding animal shelter operations and stated that the staff and volunteers worked on new training techniques that will help improve the care of the animals at the shelter. Committee Member Lauersdorf presented a report regarding the outreach program and the effects the program has in the community. A motion was made by Committee Member Lee and seconded by Committee Member Pickell to approve the report. The vote was the following: Ayes: Committee Member Dr. Donna Coleman, Committee Member Dr. Donald C. Stran, Committee Member Captain Doug Lauersdorf, Committee Member Robert Lee, and Committee Member Margaret Pickell. Nays: None. The item passed unanimously. 5. NEXT MEETING. A. Consider setting the date and time of the next Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting. The Committee set a date and agreed to hold the next meeting on May 11, 2023. 6. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Dr. Coleman and seconded by Cpt. Lauersdorf to adjourn the meeting. The vote was the following: Ayes: Committee Member Dr. Donna Coleman, Committee Member Dr. Donald C. Stran, Committee Member Captain Doug Lauersdorf, Committee Member Robert Lee and Committee Member Margaret Pickell. Nays: None. The item passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 P.M.
