92489 DEED �-- THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF GALVESTON C.- .�.: Whereas, the Friendswood Independent School District, a public free school corporation has heretofore advertised for bids in the manner and for the length of time required by law for the sale of the tract of land herein- after described and thereafter bids were duly received and the City of Friends wood was the highest and best bidder for the tract of land hereinafter describe', said bid having been received more than two weeks prior to the sale of said property and all of the steps required by law to authorize this sale of said property having been duly and timely complied with as required by law: Now therefore, know all men by these presents that the Friends- wood In dependent School District, a public free school corporation, situated in Galveston County, Texas, in consideration of the payment to it of the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. OOP) by the City of Friendswood, a municipal corporation, has granted, sold and conveyed and by these presents does grant, sell and convey unto the said City of Friendswood, its successors and assigns, the following described property situated in Galveston County, Texas: Beginning at a 1" Iron Pipe in the N. E. R/W line of Stadium Drive N 45° W 838. 86 ft. from a I" Iron Pipe marking the intersection of the N. E. R/W line of Stadium Drive and the N. W. R/W of the Alvin-Friendswood Road (F. M. 2351), which intersection is S 45° W 960 ft. from a 1" Iron Rod marking the south corner of the Eignus Subdivision and the east corner of the 40 acre tract, which intersection is also N 45° E 1420. 59 ft. (called 1365 ft. plus 40 ft. ) from an Axle with gear on top N 45° W 50 ft. from the south corner of a 306 Acre Tract. Thence N 45° W along the N. E. R/W line of Stadium Drive at 47. 53 ft. , enter two pipe line easement and leave at 121. 6 ft. a total distance of 453. 75 ft. to a 1" Iron Pipe, Thence N 45° E 960 ft. to a 1" Iron Pipe for north corner of this tract and the west line of the two pipe line easements. • I , " , Thence 5 45° E leaving the two pipe line easements at 74. 07 ft. , a total distance of 453. 75 ft. to a 1" Iron Pipe. Thence S 45° W 960 ft. to the place of beginning, containing 10 Acres of land. This conveyance is made subject to all easements, restrictions and reservations of record. To have and to hold the above described property and premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereunto in any- wise belonging unto the said City of Friendswood, its successors and assigns, forever, and the said Friendswood Independent School District does hereby bind itself, its successors and assigns to warrant and forever defend the above described property and premises unto the said City of Friendswood, its successors and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming oa or to claim the same or any part thereof, except as to taxes from and after this date. It is our understanding that, should the City be the successful bidder for this parcel of land, that an agreement can be negotiated regarding delayed payment, such payment to be completed no later than August 31 , 1970.
