HomeMy WebLinkAboutZBOA Minutes 1993-08-24 Regular 73 411) Regular Meeting Zoning Board of Adjustment August 24, 1993 Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City of Friendswood which was held at City Hall on August 24 , 1993 with the following members present constituting a quorum: Chairman William H. Taylor Regular Member John Pew Regular Member Mary Ellen Bellard Regular Member David O'Brien, III Regular Member Ann Talbot Alternate Member Evelyn Brennan Alternate Member Gary Yokum City Planner David Hoover Assistant City Secretary Linda Thornton Chairman Taylor called the meeting to order at 7 : 00 P.M. . Chairman Taylor called the Public Hearing to order to receive public input regarding Paul Allen Marx' s request on seeking variance at 5455 Appleblossom, Lot 2, Block 7, Section 8 , Wedgewood Village Subdivision, for 14' rear set back for Single Family Residence structure from 25 ' requirement. Zoning Ordinance 84-15, Section 7 , Q. 2. Discussion followed, with Paul Allen Marx explaining the request on undersized lot as being the hardship. Neighbor, Erma Fennema at 5459 Appleblossom, stated she was for the variance because it would keep all the homes in unison. No further input was received from the Public. 74 Chairman Taylor called the Public Hearing to order to • receive public input regarding Tony Banfield's request on seeking variance at FM 518, and Clearview, a parcel of land being the replat of a portion of Lot 6, Block 4, Friendswood Subdivision, for interior side yard set back from required 15' to 10 ' . Zoning Ordinance 84-15, Section 7 , Q. 2. Discussion followed, with owner Tony Banfield. explaining his request on trying to save trees from being destroyed. resident, Ed Stuart spoke for the variance. No further input was received from the Public. Hearing no further input the public hearing was closed. * Hal Taylor made a motion to grant the variance at 5455 Appleblossom, Lot 2, Block 7, Section 8, Wedgewood Village Subdivision, for 14' rear set back for Single Family Residence requirement 25' . Seconded by Mary Ellen Bellard. Motion approved unanimously. * Mary Ellen Bellard made a motion to grant the variance at FM 518, and Clearview a parcel of land being the replat of a portion, Lot 6, Block 4, Friendswood Subdivision, for interior side yard set back from required 15' to 10 ' . Seconded by Hal Taylor. Motion approved unanimously. * Mary Ellen Bellard made a motion to approve the minutes of July 27, 1993 .
