acknowledged, have GRANTED, SOLD AND CONVEYED and do by these
presents GRANT, SELL, AND CONVEY unto the CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, a
utility easement in, under, along, upon, and across, for utility
purposes, the following described tract of land in Galveston
County, Texas, more particularly described as follows:
8 FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT

together with the right of ingress and egress to or from said right
of way for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, inspecting,
maintaining, adding to said facility and its appurtenances; the
right to remove from said lands all trees and parts thereof or
other obstructions which endanger or may interfere with the
efficiency of said facility or its appurtenances; and the right of
exercising all other rights hereby granted.
Grantor shall keep utility easement clear of buildings,
planting and other obstructions for the operation and maintenance
of said utilities .
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described easement and rights
unto the CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, its successors and assigns.

HELD ON THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 1993, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS. THE FOLLOWING METERS WERE PRESENT:

THE COMMISSION DISCUSSED THE MAINTENANCE OF THE RESERVED AREAS AND
OF THE DETENTION POND. ENGINEER THOMPSON STATED THAT STAFF HAD
THE PIPELINE AGREEMENT THAT THE COMMISSION WAS WAITING FOR.
COMMISSIONER FINGER MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE FINAL PLAT OF
WEST OAKS SUBDIVISION.
SECOND: DICKSON
VOTE FOR: UNANIMOUS
OPPOSED: NONE MOTION CARRIED
2. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT
OF THE LAKES OF FRIENDS4vtCD.
THE PLAT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO ITS ORIGINAL NAME OF QUAIL CROSSING.
ENGINEER THOMPSON ADVISED THE COMMISSION THAT THE PROPERTY IS
ZONED FOR HIGH DENSITY AND THE PLANS INDICATE 17.5 UNITS PER
ACRE. THE PLAT WAS REFERRED TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TO THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE POLICE HAD NO COMMENT AND THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT STATED THEY WERE SATISFIED WITH THE LOCATIONS OF THE
HYDRANTS. HE ALSO ADVISED THE COMMISSION THAT IN THE FINAL PLAT
APPROVAL, THE DESIGNATED DETENTION WILL BE REVIEWED BY HARRIS
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT. THE LAKE WILL MAINTAIN
APPROXIMATELY 3' OF WATER AND WILL HOLD UP TO 5' OF WATER. THE
DEVELOPER IS PLANNING TO LOCATE A FOUNTAIN IN THE POND. THOMPSON
E<YPLAINED THE DRAINAGE PLAN AND STATED THAT AT PRESENT, HARRIS
COUNTY IS ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE; HOWEVER, IF
THE DRAINAGE DISTRICT DOES NOT ACCEPT, WE WILL REQUIRE A DEPOSIT
OF 10 YEAR MAINTENANCE FEE. THE DEVELOPER IS PROPOSING A JOGGING
TRAIL, CLUB HOUSE WITH WEIGHT ROOM AND A SWIMMING POOL.
COMMISSIONER FINGER MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE PRELIMINARY PLAT
OF QUAIL CROSSING.
SECOND: JORDAN
VOTE FOR: UNANIMOUS
OPPOSED: NONE MOTION CARRIED
3. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIRT,E ACTION REGARDING THE FINAL PLAT OF
PARKWOOD VILLAGE SUBDIVISION SECTION ONE.
PETER GHORMAN ADDRESSED THE COMMISSION REGARDING THE FENCE BETWEEN
HIS PROPOSED SUBDIVISION AND THE IRISH GREEN SUBDIVISION. HE
STATED THAT IT WOULD BE A SOLID OPAQUE FENCE OF CONCRETE OR WOOD.
THE COMMISSION REVIEWED THE PLAT AND COMMISSIONER FINGER MADE A
MOTION THAT THE FINAL PLAT OF PARKWOOD VILLAGE SLBDIVISION BE
APPROVED.
SECOND: JORDAN
VOTE FOR: UNANIMOUS
OPPOSED: NONE POTION CARRIED
4. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIRT,E ACTION REGARDING THE FINAL PLAT OF
LEAVESLY MEADOWS SUBDIVISION.
ENGINEER THOMPSON STATED THAT THE CITY REQUIRED AN ADDITIONAL 25'
ON WESTFIELD FOR DRAINAGE TO CLOVER ACRES.
COMMISSIONER FINGER MADE A MOTION THAT THE FINAL PLAT CF LEAVESLY
MEADOWS SUBDIVISION BE APPROVED.
