AT UNIPLEX OFFICE PARK, 1414 S. FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE, FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT: CO-CHAIR PHYLLIS LEE CO-CHAIR JANIS LOWE MEMBERS KITTEN HAJECATE HUBERTA MORA LAURIE WHITEHEAD JERRY SMITH ANN WOOD MARY ELLEN BALLARD ADVISORY MEMBER JOYCE BAKER STAFF DELORIS MCKENZIE ABSENT FROM THE MEETING WERE CHARLES KIRKLIN, LEO BRAUN, ED HARRIS, AND PATSY RAUCH. CO-CHAIR LEE CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. **MOTION WAS MADE BY KITTEN HAJECATE TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF APRIL 12, 1995 WITH CORRECTION SPELLING OF BOUILLION. SECONDED BY LAURIE WHITEHEAD. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. **MOTION WAS MADE BY LAURIE WHITEHEAD TO ACCEPT THE FINANCIAL REPORT AS RECEIVED. SECONDED BY KITTEN HAJECATE. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. **MOTION WAS MADE BY LAURIE WHITEHEAD TO AUTHORIZE T-SHIRTS FROM CRAFTY T'S FOR CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS. SECONDED BY KITTEN HAJECATE. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. HUBERTA MORA REPORTED ON THE FOURTH OF JULY NIGHT PROGRAM LINE-UP WHICH WILL BEGIN AT 6:30 P.M. WITH PATRIOTIC MUSIC, 7:15 THE MAYOR INTRODUCES DIGNITARIES, FOLLOWED BY THE INVOCATION AND SPEECH, HOMEGROWN KIDS WILL SING, CHAMBER RAFFLE, BIG TIME BAND PLAYING 50'S AND 60'S, CENTENNIAL SPEECH ACCOMPANIED LAZER SHOW AND FIREWORKS AT 9:05. JANIS LOWE PRESENTED INFORMATION ON THE PURCHASE OF 100 3X5 CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD FLAGS WITH 50 FOR THE MEDIANS AND 50 TO SETT, FOR $20 EACH ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, AND 1,000 4 INCH FLAGS ON 6 INCH STICKS AND STATED IT WOULD COST $200.00 TO HAVE THE FLAG SILK SCREENED. **MOTION WAS MADE BY LAURIE WHITEHEAD TO AUTHORIZE THE $4,000.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF FLAGS. SECONDED BY KITTEN HAJECATE. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. CENTMIN1/KSSO3 **MOTION WAS MADE BY LAURIE WHITEHEAD TO AUTHORIZE DONATION OF A CENTENNIAL POSTER FOR THE SENIOR CITIZEN DANCE RAFFLE. SECONDED BY HUBERTA MORA. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. JOYCE BAKER REPORTED THAT THERE WILL BE A MARKER SET BY FISD AT THE JUNIOR HIGH COMMEMORATING 100 YEARS OF EDUCATION IN FRIENDSWOOD.
