AT THE UNIPLEX OFFICE PARK, 1414, S. FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE, FRIENDSWOODS, TEXAS, WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS PRESENT: CO-CHAIR PHYLLIS T,FF CO-CHAIR JANIS LOWE MEMBERS ED HARRIS CHARLES KIRKLIN LAURIE WHITEHEAD ANN WOOD STAFF KATHLEEN SENG ABSENT FROM THE MEETING WERE KITTEN HAJECATE, MARY ELLEN BALLARD, HUBERTA MORA, PATSY RAUCH, LEO BRAUN, AND JERRY SMITH. CO-CHAIR PHYLLIS LEE CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 6:45 P.M. **MOTION WAS MADE BY ED HARRIS TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF MAY 10. 1995. SECONDED BY LAURIE WHITEHEAD. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. **MOTION WAS MADE BY CHARLES KIRKLIN TO APPROVE THE FINANCIAL REPORT. SECONDED BY JANIS LOWE. THE MOTION WAS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING THE CENTENNIAL TRAIL RIDE WITH CO-CHAIR LOWE REPORTING THAT THE COST WOULD BE $20.00 FOR THE FIRST MEMBER OF A FAMILY AND $10.00 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL MEMBER, AND THAT THE TRAIL RIDE IS TO BEGIN IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE TEXAS ROSE HALL ON HIGHWAY 35 BYPASS IN ALVIN AND END AT THE OLD CITY PARK ON BRIARMEADOW. THE TIME IS TO BE FROM 1:30 P.M. UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 5:30 P.M. WITH FAJITAS AND COKES SERVED TO THE PARTICIPANTS AT THE END OF THE RIDE. **MOTION WAS MADE BY LAURIE WHITE_HEAD TO AUTHORIZE $400.00 FOR POSTERS AND ADVERTISING THE TRAIL RIDE. SECONDED BY ANN WOOD. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING THE FOLLOWING: GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW .CITY HALL AND CO-CHAIR LEE VOLUNTEERED TO DRAW UP A LETTER TO BE PRESENTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL AT THE COUNCIL MEETING ON AUGUST 21, WITH NOVEMBER 26, 1995 AS A RECOMMENDED DATE; HERITAGE DAY 1995, AND THE ORNAMENT SALE FOR THE "TREE OF THE CENTURY"; GUIDELINES AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THE CENTENNIAL MARKER TO BE DISCUSSED AT THE NEXT MEETING; COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING ON NOVEMBER 16, 1995; AND NO DISCUSSION WAS HELD REGARDING PAVERS. CENT8995/KSS03 DISCUSSION FOLLOWED REGARDING THE NEW CITY HALL AND THAT THE CENTENNIAL FUNDING FOR THE CLOCK WAS RETURNED TO THE CITY.
